Veeeeeery stupid doodle before bed. >__>; Yevie... are those shades even correct? ...

I think there are a loooot of anatomy poops in this drawing. xD That's what you get for being lazy as hey-ell at 1-3 AM or something. P:

The dude on the left is supposed to look a bit more irritated... but I think his brows are seriously not visible enough to see the "rrggghhh" brows. Silly me giving him such pretty bangs. >__<

 Drawing of my boot.
 Two figure drawings done in class. The point of the assignment was to focus on line quality. I think I'm getting better, but it's still not at the level I'd like. Keep working, Laura!

 Drawing of my foot. I feel like the wrinkles and some of the shoelaces got weak, but it' strong enough for me to feel like I'm about to get kicked in the head every time I turn over to look at it on my easel.
 Two drawings of the same character. Above is smoking and drinking... somewhere... This one is in a lame outfit because this character regularly wears lame outfits.

Messy color vomit that was supposed to be a guy fencing. "Without the helmet? O_o" YES. Without a helmet because I am an arse who likes to come up with excuses to draw der faces. D:

It is soooo messy and unfinished, sorry 'bout that. xD

 Gouache painting of a mini tree thing in my front yard. One day I'll get better at gouache... until then, this is the second (third if you count the greyscales thing) using gouache. First time using it full on with more than two colors.

Quick marker value sketch of a car I saw. I was GOING to draw more, but the street cleaner on the street I was drawing on basically told me to leave because he had to clean the street I was on. =___= And then that car drove away....

Part two to the brown-haired character I drew that one time. It's another drawing of him in casual wear.

DUUUUUUUMPPP

For this figure drawing session, I went for a more slow, controlled approach instead of my usual "ATTACK WITH DER CHARCOALLL" approach. Hence the reason why I'm using a charcoal pencil instead of my usual vine charcoal.

 The rest below are from older sessions.

Pen sketches - I'm trying to not rely on using solely one medium for all my figure drawing stuff.
 Watercolor on the right.

 Initial rough sketches of the character I color sketched from the last post.
 The rest from here is all sketchbook stuff. This is a fork study because I realized I don't really know a fork as anything more than what the represenation form of it is (which is a stick with four prons).

 This took a LONG time and I'm still not done with it. I basically keep adding it whenever my concentration's up for it. When I can feel my concentration I STOP because I'm sure my lack of attention will just ruin the page.

 It's sorta like a reversal but with graphite. Basically, I rubbed a graphite stick all over the page and tried to grab forms out with an eraser.

I quite like this page, actually... I really do. The Cyrano quotes I added were for my own, silly happiness.
Robert Crumb inspired page. I might make it more of a spread - it looks suuuuper empty to me P: I'll find time to fill up the page next to it some time...

Quiiiiiiiickkkkooooo sketchoooo. I know the legs are messed up, I should find some time to actually look up a ref and fix that. It ended up looking like one of my classmates to me. My friend, Yev-o thinks it looks like if the 11th and 4th Doctor from Doctor Who had a child.

A little quickie I did before bed. I left the original sketches in, too. I left it there so I could compare what I drew to what I ended up coloring.

In the end, I think the more simplistic looking on the right was my favorite. I think I was being more accurate than the other one where I zooooomed in and got caught up in stupid small details that totally ruined it when I zoomed out. Oooops. =___=;

I'm liking the fencing one, though. I'm really digging it, hopefully this is a good jump for me? Haha - we'll see...

EDIT: The sketch on the left is wearing glasses, it just wasn't included in the line sketch. Are those glasses even visible? O__O;

WORK DUMP TIME!!! Sorry this took so long... >___>;

Self-portraits. Top is a blind portait, bottom is a semi-blind portrait.

B/W value studies. First 10 from life, middle 10 from movie stills/photos, last 10 are master work copies. I'm not so great with values, so I think this was a very useful assignment for me. P: I realized in the end that I drew Cillian Murphy 3 stupid times. =___= I told myself to STOP using movies he was in after the third time.

My personal favorite is probably the copy of Rembrandt I did, it actually looks like the painting. My biggest regret was trying to do a Turner . Doing that in JUST black and white was stupid, his style is so fuzzy and imrpessionistic. >__O Hopefully it trained my eye, though? I don't know...

This one is a an NC Wyeth master copy painting we did in class. I am SO angry at myself... =___= it didn't look like it and I was a fool to try to look cool and put highlights at the last second....
